When we hear the word “miniature, we expect that it is smaller than the normal size of a thing. Just like in dogs, the miniature Dachshund is just like a dwarf version of the standard Dachshund. They have the same coat varieties, long, low bodies and popularly called as “sausage dogs.
Despite their small proportions, a miniature Dachshund is a strong and muscular dog with broad shoulders and hindquarters. It has beautiful almond-shaped eyes that are set into a perfectly proportioned, long face. It has an enormous variety of colours although tan and black are the most widely seen colors.
